In celebration of National Pecan Torte Day (August 22), we’d like to share Sybil’s Pecan Torte with Coffee Cream.
A torte is a rich, multi-layered cake, typically filled with creams, mousses, jams or fruits. They are almost always beautifully topped with glaze, fruit or nuts (pecans are obviously the best choice). Tortes are made with very little (if any) flour, and substituted with ground nuts (again, pecans) and breadcrumbs.
Something that delicious, when paired with Georgia Pecans and coffee cream? How can you go wrong?
